Cindia Luz
Cindia Luz is a singer and percussionist whose career spans stages around the world. She has performed with icons including The Legendary Roots Crew, Ricky Martin, Seal, and Delta Goodrem on The Voice Australia. Her versatility has also seen her play with The Tapdogs, Hed Kandi, Tijuana Cartel, OKA, Declan Kelly and the Rising Sun, Matanza Latin Jazz, Master Epizou Bangoura, Sambole African Dance Troupe, Wahine Polynesian Troupe, ERTH, Icarus, Night Flight to Venus, Bad Girls, and many more.
A highlight of her journey was fundraising to donate drums and teaching music to children in Cambodia who had survived human trafficking—an experience she describes with deep gratitude.
Cindia’s musical path has also taken her across the globe. In Bahia, Brazil, she studied on the streets, performed with local salsa bands, and played for the Pellourinho School of Dance. In Cuba, she trained with masters including Pellito el Afrokaan, Eguie Castrillo, and Papillon Alvarez, and played alongside Havana legends such as Lucumi, Maximino, and Lazaro “Fimba” Moliner. She has clapped clave, sung choro, and joined countless ceremonies with Los Guiros de San Cristobal.
